Everyday living is full of Beauty. If this is hard to see then the ability to perceive has been damaged. Correcting perception to allow the vision of Beauty to be
recognized, is the work of a lifetime. Everything true has
been given and we have everything we need to wake up right now.
This fact is not hiding. If we cannot see we must look to what is blocking our
view, instead of what we think we must do to survive a life where
Beauty is hidden.
To recognize Beauty we must slow down until the blurring subsides and clarity returns, until we are able to manage even the smallest degree of
non-resistance and find a balance between the pressures of our biology and
our psychology including the capacity to trust and be honest, to exercise tolerance
and be gentle, to express joy easily and embrace defenselessness, to exhibit generosity,
patience, faithfulness, and open-mindedness.
Slowing down allows the work of uncovering the inherent
capacity to recognize and appreciate the Beauty that is inside of us and
all around us, right now.
Everything has been given. It is a life’s work to accept this reality and the peace of
mind that comes with It.
